Identification Cards

  • Vulnerable Person Identification Cards can be used in addition to the Vulnerable Person Registry.
  • These are physical cards that are meant to be carried and provide quick details to emergency services.
  • The card provides officers with quick access to critical information (e.g. name, language spoken, medical condition/allergies etc.) for vulnerable persons.
  • It is a helpful tool for participants to alert first responders that they might have difficulty understanding and following directions, might be unable to respond, and/or become agitated if touched or in close proximities.
  • Below is an example of a Vulnerable Person Identity Card that is used in York Region.
